Tianyar is roughly 20km from Mt Agung and is outside the level IV danger zone of 12km.
Prospective volunteers need not worry about any disturbance whilst undertaking their volunteer programme here in Tianyar but nevertheless should keep up to date in case the situation changes. Please be wary of some news outlets exaggerating the status of the volcano.
